@60Minutes@BenSasse I like much of what he has to say here but the surprise at the reduction in having sex and babies is a white man myopia. Ask women why this is happening, it’s not social media, it’s finally having a choice and an evaluation of the cost benefit analysis.
@workamania1979@KAntolos56619@zellieimani Everyone who knew Dominique Pelicot swore he was a great guy too—including his wife— while he was drugging her and recruiting 70+ men to rape her for more than 10 years.
I would like to explain what patriarchy is to the men who try to explain it to us.
Patriarchy is being a little girl and having to serve at the table, while your brother doesn’t.
It’s carrying the physical and mental load while being told you’re lucky because your husband “helps” you.
It’s a job interview where they ask if you have children or plan to have them.
It’s an attempted rape on a beach while you’re alone, reading a book.
It’s being infantilized by a man simply because you’re a woman.
It’s the knot in your throat when you’re alone at night and cross paths with a man who has a predatory look.
It’s a career path blocked because you’re pregnant or have children.
It’s the discomfort of walking into a bar full of old men and becoming the target of stares and remarks.
It’s a comment about your appearance from a colleague.
It’s an employer telling you to “take better care of yourself.”
It’s a university professor hitting on you, exploiting his position of power.
It’s the violence of childbirth with the Kristeller maneuver and episiotomy.
It’s having to hide your period and work through the cramps.
It’s being either married or “marriageable.”
It’s earning half of what your male colleagues earn.
It’s being sexually harassed by your music teacher.
It’s being violently harassed by your middle school classmates.
It’s dancing at a party and finding hands on your ass.
It’s being beaten, raped, and killed—and then being blamed for it.
Patriarchy is a husband who kills your children because you want to be a free woman.
And finally—though not because the list is over—it’s having to listen to men explaining to you that patriarchy doesn’t exist.

@WalshFreedom He doesn’t just push white supremacy he pushes misogyny and male supremacy. White supremacy, male supremacy, and religious supremacy is the definition of Christian Nationalism.
@CatholicCharm Men aren’t built this way? So they aren’t built for acting like grownups????
If they aren’t built for the mental load of planning, executing a plan, and being responsible for the group and to the group they shouldn’t be in leadership positions anywhere in the world.
@RonWaxman You should really stick to soccer consulting. Gates are unavailable all the time for a variety of reasons. It’s not uncommon at all and not the cause of this tragedy.
@goinggodward No one who voted for Trump can be regarded as toeing any line of moral sanity whatsoever.
What evangelicals say and do are two entirely different things. You can’t vote for sociopaths & reflexively defend pastors who sexually abuse their flock and claim moral high ground.
Absolutely sick to death of hearing about how the new @louistheroux documentary has made people think about attitudes to women. Lots of MPs jumping on the bandwagon. I mean, no disrespect to Louis - I’m grateful for the highlight - but for God’s sake…
Women get killed by their partner every week. Tiny Man Tate has been a thing for years. Domestic violence shelters are overwhelmed. Women have been waving the red flags about incels and attitudes for years. We’ve been begging for change. We’ve been highlighting the serious threat of anti-women social media. Then a MAN makes a documentary and suddenly everyone’s interested? Do you not all think that this might be part of the problem?
@DavidAFrench@reedgalen Do these people who brag about not having empathy and self-reflection and seeing them as weaknesses…. Do they not realize that they are openly copping to key elements on the Hare psychopathy checklist?
