@HillsEmilyJ >>I made it precisely one hour into an IMAX showing of >>The Odyssey earlier this evening.
Same. We almost made it to the encounter with the Sirens, but decided to bail.
@MCCCANM Sorry to hear that. We were in a similar situation. Found a daycare with well-trained staff who paired our hooligan boy with some mature dogs who wouldn't put up with his bad manners. He learned best from other dogs... the handlers were key to the success.
@dmbkparker After identifying and feathering the prop…
CFI (not yelling) - “… if you advance the dead engine’s throttle just a bit, the gear warning horn will be quiet”
Student: “What gear horn?”
@thenewarea51@theATCapp Per the AFM, loss of two or three engines is an emergency - but loss of one is an "Abnormal".
But yeah, declaring Mayday has benefits as far as ATC is concerned.
@jbransonx 1997 - F900. At that time, the mid-point runway elevation was 50 FEET lower than the threshold. Minimal-minimal flare. “Click your seat fwd an extra notch and bring your A game.”
Frequently diverted to MTJ or GJC when winds >10 knots. Photo taken from the jump seat.
@MargoinWNC Transylvania County - Hooker Falls (Munro sisters and Hawkeye descending in the canoe) and High Falls (Chingachgook , Hawkeye and the Munro sisters clambering up abeam the falls). Both falls are in the DuPont State Forest.
@JerryChilds@aviationbrk And I was wrong... Probably was indeed the previous flight, ending around 10:50 am... accident occurred close to 11:30 am, perhaps prior to availability of ADSB data.
@JerryChilds@aviationbrk Open the link and run the slider across to see the speed/time/altitude from the ADSB data. This was the final flight. Possibly a stall followed by loss of control.
