This is such fabulous news for LGBTQ2+ students, family, faculty, staff, friends, allies and everyone!
Inclusion has no boundaries, and school needs to be a safe and nurturing place for everyone.

I would also like to especially thank @TrusteeAgnew and @GNancyl , who have been here since it all began last April. Thank you for supporting queer HCDSB students, staff, alumni, and the general LGBTQ+ community. Couldn’t have been able to do this without you both <3
@normsworld Thank you for allowing me to provide your experiences as testimony to the impact this decision could have at our board. I believe it truly made a difference, and for that I will forever be grateful. <3

@KatieBowie@alicia_tokiwa@gabrielamasri Thank you for giving alumni and community members hope that there are individuals within the Board who have a desire to make change for the better! Thank you all for speaking on behalf of students, and for truly representing the desires of the student body of the HCDSB <3
@FaeJohnstone@HCDSB Thank you for all of the effort you put into making this decision possible. I greatly appreciate everything you did from April all the way through to tonight :)
It took seven months, but we finally made it.
The Halton Catholic District School Board has officially voted to fly the Pride flag during the month of June. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along this journey and joined the cause.
I love you all very much <3
@HCDSB Are you aware of Tim O’Brien’s recent tweet? With the upcoming vote on the Pride flag, this seems like a very concerning comment. Trustee O’Brien should recuse himself to keep the vote impartial. Look at who is on your Board.
You are valid 🌈

@HCDSB Trustees - in their own words. 👀
Last night @HCDSB trustee @Vincent4Trustee actually said the board's proposed hiring policy had "too much focus on Human Rights". Are you kidding me? Vincent Iantomasi needs to apologize and step down immediately. #onted#hcdsb
