@gracelongline@oldishbird1@Peston Ah, but that's the conundrum of the UK. Scots Law - not English law - in Scottish courts and tribunals; differing qualifications in schools and universities. But apparently we're all one nation. And yes; obviously if Scotland were independent - no requirement for a referendum.
@oldishbird1@Peston Scotland is not a 'state' of the UK. It was an entirely distinct nation, and had evolved its own and separate legal system of law - based on Roman common law - before the union of 1707 with England.
The Tory party are the partner of a serial adulterer who keeps promising to change; they are weak and enthralled so keep accepting the lie and welcoming them back. Their fatal problem is they then hoist the cheater on the entire public, who can see his pants around his ankles…
There is only one public utility left the UK Government can sell.
It would bring in £20 billion+ in one swoop.
Scottish Water.
All justified as the only way to solve the water crisis in England due in 20 years and that means a UK water grid.
The Internal Market Bill enables this.
Arrogant Tory flies in from his holiday in the Caribbean to stand for PM as families struggle with energy bills, higher mortgage costs, and the economic fall out from a #BrexitShambles which he created. #Scotland - we need to escape this embarrassing charade. #YouYesYet
@Ben_Everitt@BorisJohnson Whose 'national interest'? England's? The notional 'UK' - if that's what you mean - is not a nation; rather a conglomeration thus.
@CLINTOFFICIAL_ Clint fan since the 1970s. Lovely sentiments from the great man; whom I’ve admired for many, many, years. Do you need a copy-taster? Don’t tale it pesonslly, but some of the grammatical usage in the official documentation is way off.
