42% of all income taxes go to paying the interest on the national debt. If my Penny Plan were signed into law, instead of the monstrous spending bills that expand government, we could balance the budget in less than 10 years.
Electronic monitoring was never meant to be a substitute for detention when someone poses a danger to the public.
Yet that is how it’s being used in Cook County. The system needs to be fixed. My thoughts in the @chicagotribune.⬇️
Holy moly, Tesla/SpaceX’s Terafab will be ~100 million square feet, which is 10X larger than the main Giga Texas building, which itself is ~1 mile long.
No wonder the Terafab won’t fit on the existing Giga Texas campus 🤯

Very sad news. My "home" for 25 years at @CBSNews, CBS News Radio, is shutting down. Feeling bad for all my colleagues who are losing their positions at CBS today.
Elon is a key person at Tesla because if it weren’t for Elon, we’d have some John Sculley-ass dude who would not be bold enough to build a driverless vehicle manufacturing line in parallel with the AV software development that will power it.
What Tesla is doing is totally batshit crazy, and if they stick the landing, they change the world. This is why when Elon’s pay package thing was happening, you saw every key engineer inside of Tesla advocating for it. Because they know what I’ve said above, and they joined Tesla to change the world, not to fuck around and give some dial-tone investor a 5% ROI across some 6 month timeline.
To the builders at Tesla, working for any traditional company is the same as laying down to die. They’re here to put a dent in the universe, not to make some bank write a good note about their last quarter. That is why Elon’s companies are what they are. He is the enabler who attracts capital to insanely bold ideas and lets the geniuses of our time cook.
This is why if you think Elon is bad for Tesla, you are a moron who does not understand Tesla. They’re changing the world or they’re gonna die trying. Get used to it.
This interview followed a piece about a 20 year life expectancy gap between two neighborhoods in Chicago, the largest so-called death gap of any major city, and something people have known about for decades here.
I anchored @WGNMorningNews at 5am. However, we weren’t on the air until 6. Maybe next Thanksgiving? (And maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt?) If so, I promise not to wear my Black Out Wednesday sweatshirt. And to take a shower. Thank you for watching. #HappyThanksgiving
Lincoln Square, Chicago—Federal agents arrested WGN employee Debbie Brockman after she threw an object at their vehicle during an immigration operation.
The same media that lectures about justice can’t tell the difference between activism and assault.
Breaking news just became breaking the law.
