Well anime is marketed to children. You can beat your chest and say that in Japan its content for all ages and plenty of adults in the US watch it, but it is none-the-less marketed to children. And children have the same access to it as an adult does.

Also, the anime industry and adult fans are both complicit in obfuscating what exactly Anime is from parents. They sell parents on Dragon Ball and Naruto and then when they leave their kids to watch their little Japanese cartoons they end up watching shit about a mf sexually preying on his prepubescent sister that draws porn, and any other number of degenerate things. And you know all of the things so I don't have to bother listing them.

But then all of you adult fans and the industry again are quick to throw out Bleach and One Piece as a smokescreen so that parents drop their guard, knowing theres plenty of content not appropriate for kids and its all packaged under the same umbrella of "Anime".

A parent can tell at a glance that they don't want their kids watching that stupid ass Euphoria shit. A parent can tell at a glance for most content produced in the US whether they want their children watching it. A parent cannot tell with "Japanese cartoons" unless they watch the whole shit beforehand.

They don't even come with parental guidelines or age ratings in Japan. They just make the shit and let the people deal with it, and that's not how it works in the US and has never been how it works in the US. They even have to cobble together some age rating whole-cloth for releasing the shit in the US, and often those age ratings then get adjusted higher afterwards

And the lolicon shit isn't even the worst of it. Japan didn't ban the production and sale of photographic and video child porn until 1999, and possession stayed legal until 2014.

It took a mounted global campaign to force Japan to ban possession of child pornography a single decade ago. And even then, people still filmed and sold child porn with impunity because they argued that it wasn't porn once they had covered the genitals and nipples. So they could film erotica of children in thongs and micro bikinis.

The lolicon shit is just the cherry on top. The government wouldn't ban that because they'd instantly overcrowd all of their prisons. And thanks to that, it has become a global scourge. Pedophiles across the globe now have entire vocubularies for describing their sickness in great detail (words like 'lolicon' and 'mesugaki' and others, all cognates of the Japanese in every language you check)

The Japanese don't even deny being pedophiles. They actively export pedophilia to the rest of the world. The only argument you'll hear from them is that they're exceptionally well-behaved pedophiles and that they're prosecuted less than people elsewhere.

You'll hear them claim that it only being fiction matters (it doesn't). Masturbating to gay porn and men railing each other makes you inarguably gay for the same reason.
