Shock in Jinja as absentee Kisima health centre workers sign attendance register months in advance
During an impromptu visit at 2.30 pm, members of Jinja city’s security committee found only a security guard at the health centre. The guard informed them that the health workers had gone for lunch and were expected back within an hour.
However, despite waiting until 6:30 pm, none of the health workers returned, raising questions about whether they had reported for duty at all.
The committee was further alarmed to discover that attendance records had already been filled in for the entire month of June, yet attendance is supposed to be recorded daily.

30 years later and "Clear and Present Danger" remains unmatched.
No capeshit. No quips. Just Ford in glasses, moral clarity, and explosions that actually meant something.
This is what competence porn looked like before we got addicted to slop.

Sarah Ddamulira has died after five years of suffering while searching for her husband, John Ddamulira, who was abducted by military operatives.
Her pain is a painful reminder of what many families are going through after their breadwinners have been taken away. May her soul rest in peace 🙏😭
I have fought the neocons and warmongers in Washington for more than 25 years. Throughout, they have tried to silence, discredit, slander, and cancel me. Only recently, however, have they tried to deport me.
At least, that appears to have been the aim of a hit piece in Bari Weiss’s The Free Press, which claimed that Marco Rubio’s State Department was “investigating” me for allegedly seeking to “undermine the U.S.”—presumably because of my opposition to war with Iran.
Yet just hours later, the State Department issued a statement to reporters clarifying that “the State Department has no plans to revoke the green card of Mr. Parsi at this time.” Nor did it provide any confirmation for the central premise of the Free Press story—that an investigation of me existed in the first place.
So here’s what I think happened.

Commentator 1: “Why aren’t the South African players attacking?”
Commenatator2: “it’s because the Mexicans are white, they only attack when they see black people”
Last evening I returned to a subdued Makerere University to officiate at Mitchelex (Mitchell and Complex halls) solidarity reunion dinner at the great Mitchell Hall. Thank you Mitchlex solidarity for honouring me. The dinner was also graced with other solidarity ancestors such as Hon Barnabas Tinkasimire. Dinners are the few social gatherings not yet banned by the regime using vice chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe. Morning joggings have been added on the not to do list. The Red freshers gowns have gone. If you were in Lumumba Hall, your Gongom is no more. The crime of this statue is that it inspires violence. The social construction of the university completely destroyed. Gatherings of more than 10 students require prior approval. There is a military detach stationed there since the presidential elections in January, in addition to a police division! Makerere is now unrecognizable!
When electricity goes off, a typical Ugandan will look outside to make sure the neighbors are also in darkness. After looking outside you add on "kirungi gagenze wonna"😂
What type of jealousy is that?
"The number of tourists visiting African countries grew by almost 8 percent last year — the fastest growth in the world", according to the UN World Tourism Organisation.
