A great meeting with Japanese FM @Kamikawa_Yoko, as we co-chaired the 16th 🇮🇳 🇯🇵 FMs Strategic Dialogue in Tokyo today.

Pleased to note the steady progress of our bilateral partnership in different domains. Discussed new and ambitious areas of expansion, including emerging technologies.

Also appreciated the stabilizing role that our ties can play in the Indo-Pacific and beyond. Our exchange of views on the international situation was very useful. 🇮🇳 and 🇯🇵 will be steadfast partners as we move towards a multipolar world.

Delighted to speak at the Inaugural Raisina Roundtable in Tokyo today.

Made three observations:

➡️ World is heading for re-globalization with building of resilient and reliable supply chains and trusted and transparent digital transactions. India and Japan are natural partners in that regard.

➡️ Our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific is being taken forward by the Quad with each passing year.

➡️ The comfort we have built up is a foundation to think more ambitiously. The progress in India in the last decade promises even more for our partnership.
