NEW: Missouri auditor warns deep budget cuts loom as surplus nears end
State Rep. Betsy Fogle of Springfield, said in an interview with The Independent that she agrees with Fitzpatrick that the state is in financial danger:
“… years to come are going to be exponentially harder, and we’re going to feel the pain in the budget room exponentially more than we have this year.” - @Fogle4MO https://t.co/RSHzEF0hKu
From @FOX2now : Missouri tax swap on ballot as revenues fall
“Voters here in Springfield and across the state of Missouri are smart enough to understand that what is being billed to them as a positive is going to be a cost of living increase for everybody who makes under, you know, a few hundred thousand dollars, which is most of the people who call Missouri home,” said Rep. Fogle. https://t.co/NfXaPMT47y @Fogle4MO
One year ago, I kicked off my campaign to become Springfield’s next State Senator with a park full of family, friends, and neighbors. Springfield is my favorite place in the world, and is home to nearly every memory of mine. I am thankful for the chance to represent my hometown.
Thank you @MaggieforMO and @Fogle4MO for opposing these damaging budget cuts and for standing up for Missouri families

Congrats to my dear friends at UA Local 178 on the opening of their new training facility and on celebrating 120 years of building, piping and serving our community. We are thankful for the generations of skilled plumbers & pipefitters who have taken care of us since 1905!
Always appreciate the chance to speak with @ozarks_first about how we can tackle the challenges facing Springfield families, from high prices, to underfunded classrooms, to a tax proposal punishing working families and retirees. Thanks for having me on!
After the most recent session in Jefferson City ended last week, Ozarks First is speaking with State Reps. Betsy Fogle and Melanie Stinnett about their perspectives on the wins, losses, and what both lawmakers wished elected officials worked on more. https://t.co/O7nULSqTE0
Crafting the over 50 billion dollar budget is no small task, and I count myself extremely lucky to have had Allie and Ayden our intern by my side the whole way. We spent hundreds of hours together fighting for the things we believe in, and I’ll never forget it. Thank you both!
Celebrated the first weekend back home from Jefferson City doing our favorite thing - knocking a few hundred doors across Springfield!
There’s truly no place like home, and I am so glad Springfield is mine 💜
Last weekend, the Queen City celebrated the National Route 66 Centennial Kickoff. 100 years of Route 66!
I’ve been getting my kicks on Route 66 for decades - glad the world got to join in 🇺🇸
For the last six years, I’ve represented a district ONE street away from my childhood home. Today, for the first time, I got to knock my parent’s door with my good friend @HeinForMissouri 💜 I am so excited for the chance to represent them, and the rest of my hometown 🇺🇸
Started Spring Break in the Queen City with my favorite things - St. Pat's Parade downtown, knocking doors all over, and listening to Nick, Ruell and Ned The Band at the Historic Fox Theatre (massive for anyone who called Springfield home in the 90s!)
🚪👋 Join us for a morning of door knocking and do your part to send Betsy to the State Senate! We’ll be out talking with neighbors, the best part of ANY campaign. We can’t wait to see you there!
