Why doesn't the wood rot, you ask?
Because the posts are submerged below water, where oxygen can't reach. As long as this is the case, the wood will last another thousand years — mineralization is effectively turning it to stone.
It is already hard to discern what is real from a piece of media, in fact media coded as “real” can sometimes be the most constructed- thinking of that one man with a guitar “viral song” that turned out to be a heavily funded conservative media campaign etc
AI just forces us to grapple with abstraction
It's odd that everyone seems to think saying plagiarism is fine & plagiarism rules are stupid is so transgressive. When did we all become a bunch of landlords?
Is it fair to use the folk tradition of sharing songs to build a catalogue that sells for half a billion dollars? Bob Dylan seemed to think so.

The Kernel adventures continue--a poignant question posed by the folk at @folk__gg , "How can we protect creators’ rights while also embracing the truth that everything is a remix, that genius is a fallacy, & that collective attribution of the folk is a much healthier way to share & celebrate art?"
