Hey @verizon @verizonfios When my mother-in-law died and we tried to cancel her service, you told us we need a death certificate. So we sent one. Now you tell us that the account is in my wife’s name, so the death certificate is meaningless and we owe you $700.

What gives?

Jay was very nice, but apparently $675 for a dead woman’s service is fine because the account was in her daughter’s name.

That’s a hell of a way to take advantage of a person with dementia after her death. Or is it the grieving survivors whom you want to fleece?

@growingwisdom “Adult onset diabetes” is an outdated term, and this particular joke about Type 2 diabetes (as it is now called) is pretty played out and insensitive. I would suggest you think about how it might affect people afflicted with a chronic disease and retire it.
