@rgay My favorite type of American couple on HHI is the type that “really wants to make a change” and “experience a different kind of life” then immediately complains about places that are “so much smaller than what we’re used to.”
@Pantone294@TheVinScully My grandma lived in the Bay Area my entire life. She was a die-hard Dodger fan and devoted to listening to Vin calling games on a little transistor radio - always made me laugh, hearing Vin’s voice streaming through her windows deep in Giant country.
@tomandlorenzo All of this! As an art major, it’s what the best critiques were about - to ask questions, offer suggestions and make you think, not knock you down or puff you up.
@momma72of2 @slooterman@ambermac Happy that’s your experience. I had to have a full hysterectomy because of uterine cancer at 45. Absolutely NO talk from my doctor menopause. I was completely unprepared and it slammed me against a wall.
@fuggirls Turkey and Swiss with the works no tomatoes from Bay Cities Deli in Santa Monica. I used to live within walking distance. I now live in Pasadena. Have I made that drive through some of the worst stretches of the 10 Fwy for a turkey sandwich on occasion? Yes, yes I have.
@_Kristine_A People who can’t just suck it up and push through to get things done. A 3-year span where I lost my mom and had a brief dance with cancer led to times when I just couldn’t do things I thought I should. That experience has made me much more empathetic.
