🚨 URGENT: THE WORLD MUST NOT REMAIN SILENT ON TIGRAY

Today, civilians in the Daero area of Mekelle, Tigray, were struck in an air attack carried out by forces under the government of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. Children and women are among those critically injured after the attack struck a green area where children were playing.

Ethiopians and the rest of the world must NOT remain silent as they did in the past. Silence in the face of attacks against innocent civilians only allows the suffering to continue.

This attack continues after years of devastating violence and genocide endured by Tigrayans. The international community must intervene urgently and demand accountability before it is too late.

To all Tigrayans: This is the moment to put every internal difference, disagreement, and division aside. Whatever separates us must come second to protecting our people. We must come together, condemn this attack with one voice, and stand united as we have done in the past. When innocent Tigrayan children and civilians are under attack, our unity must be stronger than our differences.

To all Ethiopians: Regardless of ethnicity, religion, region, or politics, let’s stand together and condemn this attack. No political disagreement can ever justify attacks that injure innocent children and civilians. Do not remain silent as so many did in the past.

THE WORLD MUST SPEAK.

🚨 El árbitro alemán Pascal Kaiser, de 27
años, fue agredido en su domicilio la noche del 7 de febrero, después de proponerle matrimonio a su pareja Moritz delante de 50.000 espectadores durante un partido de la Bundesliga en Colonia.

Tras la publicación del video, recibió
numerosos mensajes de apoyo y de odio, algunos de los cuales revelaban su dirección e incitaban a la violencia. La policía intervino tras el ataque y Pascal Kaiser se encuentra ahora en un lugar seguro bajo protección policial.

La violencia y las amenazas contra las
personas LGTBI siguen siendo una
realidad y vienen en aumento con los discursos de odio de los movimientos ultras, incluso en países donde se protegen nuestros derechos. La visibilidad nunca debería ser una amenaza.

El fútbol sigue siendo uno de los espacios más hostiles para las personas LGTBI y se debe realizar una transformación integral desde el ámbito federativo.
