Today I join others from across our game and call for Gianni Infantino to resign as FIFA President.

Infantino has debased the office that he promised to elevate. He has lied, deceived and tried to feather his own nest at the expense of the game he is supposed to serve. 

He has lost the support of his senior staff, his closest advisers, the vast majority of people who devote their lives to this sport and even, it would seem, the FIFA Peace Prize winner. 

It is too late to save his dignity but it is not too late to save football. He should go. Now.

It now seems that when you join the dots, the 2026 World Cup was a glossy brochure for private investors to parasite off the game of football in the future. The absurd ticket prices, the hydration breaks, the half time show, the bending of the rules for entertainment, not sport.

🇺🇸🇦🇷 U.S. authorities seized the electronic devices of Argentina’s soccer federation president Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia and other top AFA officials at JFK airport right before the team flew home after the World Cup.

They’re being investigated over how the federation handles massive international contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The probe is looking at companies like Tourprodenter and suspicious money flows through U.S. banks.

Tapia and others were summoned to testify on July 30 in Florida.
