@Byonkin It is, but challenging. Starchy pasta water, rendered pancetta fat, & pecorino get agitated into an emulsion. Add water too soon, no pasta starch. Too late, noodles get mushy. Water too hot, gloopy cheese. Too much water, thin sauce. Too little, sauce not silky.
@Byonkin Dried pasta (fresh doesn't get al dente), pasta water, pecorino romano, black pepper, and guanciale. I use pancetta at home, because the wife doesn't like guanciale. One of the 4 Roman pastas w/ cacio e pepe, carbonara, & amatriciana.
@MichaelRayDC I have found that in ANY field, defining risk is so highly subjective that it can be nearly impossible to agree on a definition. I like the following for my field: danger is the bad thing(s) that could happen, while risk is the odds that it will happen.
@850Battalion Far too nuanced for single line reply. Construction type/direction/span/spacing? Do I have a Nupla roof hook? Roofing type and condition? Fire location?
@RJB429@FFBehavior@firenation No, a defensive strip is not the same. Trench cut has lines inside under the trench to protect the saved side. Defensive strip slows fire travel so master streams can be more effective.
