This story has it ALL.

- Multiple time convicted felon
- Out on EM (multiple times, despite previously being a convicted felon, the issue being judges)
- Multiple failures to abide by EM terms (judges)
- Paroled EARLY despite constantly proving to be violent and a danger (Parole Board)
- Multiple concurrent terms for multiple felonies (IL law allows it, judges)
- Standard 50% reduction in sentences (IL law)
- Credit for time on EM (IL law)

At one point, this guy had four pending felony cases, pleaded to two, walked in and out of prison the same day with credit for time served and got a standard 50% reduction in sentencing, got electronic monitoring for the other two pending cases.

This doesn't even include the fact that EM participants are allowed 48 hrs of unrestricted movement.

The criminal "justice" system allows criminals to thrive. It gives them every opportunity to continue their criminal ways and has essentially zero consequences until they kill someone, and by then, it's far too late.

This election is for the Retiree Trustee position of the Pension Board.

Ballots are currently being mailed by USPS Mail to eligible voters, who include CPD Retirees, Widows/Widowers and guardians of minor children whose CPD parent(s) died. It's an electronic process and ballots can be cast starting Thursday the 29th through Feb. 9th.

If you have a registered, verified email address on file with the Pension and have not yet received an email regarding the election , please call the Pension at 312-744-3891 IMMEDIATELY to resolve the situation. They want to be able to verify email addresses ASAP, since voting starts on Thursday, Jan. 29th and goes through Feb. 9th.

Spanish Gangster Disciples from the Drake and Ainslie area are charged with conspiring to commit multiple murders and carjackings in the city and suburbs.

"EDSON RESENDEZ, MAVERICK CELA, and PREZILA APREZA are all charged in this indictment.

The indictment alleges that in furtherance of a racketeering conspiracy, Resendez, Cela, Apreza, and other gang members and associates committed three murders, two attempted murders, four carjackings, an attempted carjacking, and an act of arson. The violence occurred in a two-week period in 2020, the charges allege..."

Just one reason why crime is down and the Albany Park neighborhood has been relatively quiet in recent times.
