Calling users of WordPress Page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar, a "developer" is like calling IKEA assemblers "carpenters"
Great for quick, solid results. But when it needs real custom work, optimization, or doesn't fit the kit... you call the actual builder.
Site builders ≠ Developers.
Tools are tools. Skills are skills.

I’ve been thinking a lot about AI and dev jobs lately, and honestly… I don’t buy the “AI will replace developers” narrative.
If anything, I think the opposite is going to happen.

There’s this concept called Jevons Paradox, when something becomes cheaper and more efficient, people don’t use less of it, they use more.
And that’s exactly what I’m starting to see with AI in development.

Yeah, I’m faster now:
I write less boilerplate
I debug quicker
I can prototype things stupidly fast
But instead of doing less work… I’m just building more.

Things that I would’ve said “not worth the time” a year ago?
Now I just build them.
And I don’t think I’m alone here.

If building software gets cheaper:
→ more companies will build products
→ more features will get shipped
→ more ideas will actually get executed
So instead of fewer devs, we’ll probably just see way more demand.
The bottleneck is already shifting.

It’s less about “can you code this?” and more about:
what should we build?
how should it work?
does it even make sense?
AI is not removing developers, it’s raising the bar.

Feels like we’re moving into a phase where devs who can think, decide, and ship fast will stand out way more than just “good coders”.

This is made for my day to day work but can be used by anyone, just run /workflow and add your issue and Claude will figure it out. Make sure you have at least the MAX plan 😂😂 some steps take a lot of tokens.

@tiagopita A melhor skill hoje é estar disposto a aprender e adaptar, os próximos meses/anos vão ser de grandes mudanças e bem rápidas.. As pessoas fora de tech não têm a mínima ideia em que ponto estamos com AI, público geral ainda acha que AI é o chatGPT

@TimHaldorsson I don't fear AI itself but it can take people's sense of worth... Most people think they are only worthy if they work, deliver, etc., and AI could take that away, leaving them lost.

@levelsio no one wants to work more with all the tax, laws and bureaucracy we have in Europe. You work your ass off you pay 50% taxes.. you have a company there is no support investment or growth opportunity more you grow more you pay. Innovation zero. All great minds go out of Europe

I take the ticket, pass it to specialist agents, and supervise execution.

I’m moving from “coder” to “orchestrator”.

Sometimes I wonder:
