You cant separate art from the artist not as in "dont engage with art from controversial creator" but as in "you can't objectively analyze this art without consulting creator's beliefs, story, values, other media that inspired this author, politics of the time it was created etc"

Lapp's (Patches) armor is very interesting.

They mixed late 15th to early 16th century jousting armor with late 16th to early 17th century cuirassier armor.
