0 days. No food. Only raw milk.
And it's not a health thing. I don't like fasting β every fast I've tried turns me into a worse person. This is the version I could live with: raw milk, coffee, water, soda water. Nothing else.
One video a day. #rawmilk
I am dramatically afraid of needles.
The last blood draw I was in the room for was my son's. Before the needle made it to his arm I was on the floor in another bathroom while the nurses laughed at me.
I still did my own. The lab couldn't process it. Twice. #rawmilk
Day 31. First meal after 30 days of only raw milk.
Filet, mashed potatoes, lobster bisque, bread. The exact meal I'd been dreaming about.
I don't want any of it. One bite of steak and I'd rather have the milk. #rawmilk
Day 30. We made it, and I'm alive.
The most transformative 30 days of my life. 16 pounds down and a scale number I've chased for 15 years.
And it wasn't really about the milk. #rawmilk
I haven't bought store milk in months. Here's what happened.
Smell: coming in strong.
Skin: tighter, clearer, better than ever.
Mental clarity: through the roof.
I'd say it's working. #rawmilk
Honest testimony: I will never go back to store-bought milk.
Look at the difference in color. And the taste. I can't even get my six-year-old to go back β he says the store stuff is gross, looks like water.
After 42 years: what did I miss? #rawmilk
Day 29. One day to go.
If you'd asked me 29 days ago how I'd feel right now, I'd have said exuberant β couldn't wait to eat.
Instead I'm sad it's ending. I don't want to come off this mountain. #rawmilk
Day 28. No seed oils, no processed food, no dyes.
My mood is Steady Eddie. I come home, the kids are screaming to play, I say "give me three minutes," take some milk, and the world goes quiet.
Milk brings peace.
That's the change nobody talks about. #rawmilk
7 rules for surviving a 30-day raw milk fast:
1. Don't leave home
2. Don't leave home without raw milk
3. Keep going
4. Don't watch your kids eat incredible food
5. Don't let your mother-in-law cook
6. Avoid the mountains
7. Drink more than you think you need
#rawmilk
What's the hardest day of a 30-day raw milk fast? Day 26.
You're in the middle of nowhere in North Carolina watching everyone else eat.
The fix: freeze a mug, fill it with milk, put it back in the freezer. Basically ice cream. #rawmilk
2 mistakes I made on a raw milk fast. Fix these before you start:
1. Add fiber. Everyone warned me I'd live in the bathroom. Opposite problem β milk has zero fiber.
2. Pace it. Three cups spread through the day beats crushing five at once. #rawmilk
Day 25. Raw milk in the mountains.
Stopped at Starbucks, poured a cup on the hood of the car because I hadn't had lunch. Then downtown in Blue Ridge, poured one on a bench.
The first time I drank raw milk versus how I feel about it 24 days in.
Day one I'd never had it in my life. Blown away β like ice cream in a cup.
30 days later it still hasn't worn off. #rawmilk
Fasting is a powerful spiritual weapon, yet it is often ignored. My guest Philip shares how a 40-day fast preceded remarkable growth in his youth ministry, which went from 30 young people to 150 and then quickly to 250! But the impact went far beyond numbers.
Through fasting and consecration, God was preparing him to reach a generation, train evangelists, and enter some of the darkest places with the light of the Gospel.
Throughout history, prayer and fasting have preceded tremendous spiritual breakthroughs and revivals. If you are believing God for breakthrough, do not underestimate what can happen when you set aside distractions, consecrate yourself to the Lord, and earnestly seek His face.

Day 23. 14 cups.
My wife gave me about a 5% chance of finishing this. Fair β I've never finished a Whole30, a carnivore run, or keto.
Rounding third, 7 days out. Everybody knows now I'm finishing strong β the only question left is what happens on day 31. #rawmilk
Nick Saban's Five Enemies of Greatness is always worth a read. He didn't write these, but they're a solid short list of his coaching philosophy throughout the years...
Ingest them for your team, and ingest them for yourself.
The 5 Enemies..keep them away from you.
Day 22. Raw milk is the best fix for a sleepless night.
Old me answered a bad night with Krispy Kreme, 3-5 times a week, 4-6 donuts a go. I was not 177 pounds.
Barely slept last night. Had 14 cups of raw milk instead. Never felt better. #rawmilk
Day 21. The side effect nobody mentions: new relationships.
I've done plenty of fasts and never met interesting people doing them. Drinking raw milk has opened conversations across business, friendship and church.
Apparently I'm about to be "the raw milk guy." #rawmilk
Day 20. Some days I don't want to drink milk. Today was one of them. Had 10 cups anyway.
The clarity is so good I'm genuinely not hungry. In conversation, at church, at work, mind locked in β why would you eat?
Didn't, until 2pm. #rawmilk
Day 19. Waffle House with the boys.
Ordered three waffles, two eggs, bacon β and ate none of it. Brought a backpack of raw milk instead. Stared at the food, didn't mind at all.
The waitress had never tried raw milk, so she got a glass. Then I met a guy named Brian who hadn't eaten β he got the food. #rawmilk
The Dutch went from the shortest people in Europe to the tallest on earth in 150 years, and the whole change fits on a shopping list.
The Dutchman of 1850:
- Height: 5ft 5in
- Army rejects for being under 5ft 2in: 1 in 4
- Breakfast: rye bread and coffee
- Dinner: potatoes, cabbage, a smear of fat
- Meat: Sunday, if the week had gone well
- Milk: sold to England as cheese
The Dutchman of 2026:
- Height: 6ft
- Army rejects for height: none, the doorframes are the problem
- Breakfast: bread with cheese, a glass of milk
- Lunch: bread with cheese, a glass of milk
- Dinner: meat, potatoes, and a glass of milk
- Cheese: 20kg a year each, the most in the world
Same genes. Same soil. Same rain.
Between the two lists, one thing happened. In the 1880s cheap American wheat sank Dutch grain farming, and the whole country turned to cows. The cheese that had been shipped out to the English stayed home and became the national diet.
The children got taller inside a generation and never stopped. In 2003 the building code had to raise the height of a door.
The food that rebuilt a nation from the bones out is dairy fat and animal protein, three times a day, for life. It is also the food a British dietitian tells you to have in moderation.
Ask the Dutch what moderation is. They have a word for it, and it means the cheese is for lunch too.
