@M_Zot_ike@GlobalAffairs Very enlightening and a a bit scary at the same time, almost Orwellian in nature. That is amazing you created something that can do that. Congrats and many thanks for giving me a few seconds of your time.👍💯
@aaronburnett Is it safe to assume that if you are driving twice as much that you just cut the lifespan of your vehicle in half, which means total life cycle costs just doubled. Interesting paradox. Cheers
@M_Zot_ike@DabsMalone Correct. The battlefield belongs to who ever controls the message.
Another simple one. If you want to stop a tank, just throw a bunch of barb wire on the ground. It will dislodge a track so the tank can't move. But you get about 20 minutes as crews are trained to fix this fast.
@M_Zot_ike@DabsMalone Give it decoys to hit, then when it runs out of ammo, go and pick it up, load it in a truck and do what you want with it. For stuff like this always remember the KISS principle. So many tricks, just keep it simple.
@pmcdunnough@leilamechoui I am unsure what they do today, but ecology tends to win out over all else, particularly with the government. If you want a harvesting permit, you need to do what the government says and ecology always wins. Hope that helps a bit. Cheers
@pmcdunnough@leilamechoui In the 90s they started spreading the slash piles throughout the clearcuts as a way of maintaining nutrient loading on the site. Many of us suggested this would just make for larger and more intense fires, but we were ignored.
@M_Zot_ike Sounds interesting. I find the prompting is the hardest part. Irl I can't even draw a stick man and with AI, I can't even prompt a etick man 😂. Good luck.
fun fact I live in one of the biggest fruit producing regions in the USA. mainly apples and blueberries by me, cherries up north.
So here's some thoughts.
-monoculture obliterates genetic diversity. Its a legit holocaust of apple varities. Used to be many types of apples, all with incredible strengths and ripening windows. Used to always be something to pick, always something falling for animals to eat.
don't fall for "hurr durr old man saved all of them." Does not mean a damn thing if they aren't trees planted all over producing fruit. And that isn't happening because the fruit economy is designed to crush diverse little guys and force them to sell out to the big ops.
monoculture economics forces the farmer to select for shelf life and packability over taste. Any apple type that bruises too easily gets deleted. After all they gotta ship these apples all over the country to market.
-monoculture fruit is fragile to blight and pest pressure and they spray an eye-watering amount of poison on the trees. Bugs and blight simply hop from tree to tree and kill entire orchards. With diverse orchards that doesn't happen so much. All species of trees have different predators that specialize in their particular tree. Many apple trees near me got killed by fire blight when I was a kid
-suburbanization kills orchard economies by destroying bird and bug habitat, both of which pollinate fruit and eat harmful insects. (Monoculture is gasoline on the fire of urban sprawl, see my other posts)
many of the blueberry farmers near me are growing broke because 1 pollinator basically = 1 berry.
irrigation is also a big issue because the artificial(dead) Monoculture ecosystem does not hold water. This is directly leading to wells going bad in my area
-monoculture fruit uses slave labor too much. Its designed around it. The orchard guys literally buy freaking retired school buses to load up their spics and take them to the orchard. They build concrete block hotel style housing where they live during harvest season.
the high school I went to had 30+ Mexicans every year who didn't speak English, wouldn't do assignments, just screwed around, distrupting class, hitting on white women and smoking pot before suddenly disappearing once the harvest was done. The school was thrilled to have them because they got to commit fraud and get state/federal money for each apple pickers kid without needing to teach them anything.
@BrianRoemmele@MariaGa68521784@SpaceXAI@elonmusk I was going to post something, but Maria said it best. Many thanks to you for both posts and engagement. From podacst to the website, from X to substack, you cover everything everywhere. Awesome job.
@M_Zot_ike You should watermark these. Some enviro activist will use this to prove global warming and that Greenland is falling apart.🤣🤣🤣 protect your work.
@CGalugan That is beautiful. Amazing you fo this with crushed glass. The texture is phenomenal. Do you have a special machine to crush the glass and a proprietary binder/glue to hold it in place, or is everythin COTS. Cheers, i like your talent.
