The broken boundary wall, indiscriminate dumping and leachate at Bandhwari all reflect the same continuing problem.

What we see at the landfill is the outcome.

The issue begins within the city itself- a non existent waste minimisation policy , lavk of enforcment of source segregation , mixed waste collection systems, and indiscriminate dumping at Municipal secondary collection sites like Khandsa, and lack of wet waste processing infrastructure at ward level.

Open Dumping, Waste Fires, and mismanagement at these stages show the problem is already building long before waste reaches landfill sites. Unless the entire chain from source to disposal is addressed, landfills will continue to reflect these failures rather than solve them.
