Time to run with the Crocotta and Leucrocotta, beasts from whom the Hyena got its scientific name:
In Naturalis Historia, Pliny the Elder writes that the Crocotta is ‘an animal which looks as though it had been produced by the coupling of the wolf and the dog, for it can ...
❤️Even Fleetwood Mac called this their best performance ever. The band said they've never played better than this. Not a single note was wrong. Fleetwood Mac is at the peak of their form.
“In proportion as our inner life fails,” noted wise Thoreau, “we go more constantly and desperately to the post office.” These days known as the in-box.
"There was no possibility of taking a walk that day.... The wind had brought with it clouds so sombre, and a rain so penetrating, that further out-door exercise was now out of the question."

perfect bleak description of rainy autumn)
Cool, cool. Sure, it wasn’t for sale. That’s the narrative Art of Play is gonna go with 👍 so the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale whilst pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title Singing Bird didn’t happen as you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending tone “yes, it’s for sale but it costs 15,000 dollars so if you’d like me to find something comparable for you I can.” That all never happened and now it’s not for sale. Okay, cool. So you’re not only rude, you’re also a liar. Got it ✅
And by the way, I obviously support small businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small businesses and know they are important and I always support them, but you don’t get a free pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business. It’s not that hard to be kind. I never blast people but you my friend were an exception.
Your store is really cool.
Unfortunately, you aren’t.
Kelly Clarkson responds to Art of Play’s statement which claimed they didn’t have the Singing Bird she wanted to buy for sale:

What kind of writer is Anne Carson?
Anne Carson’s work spans poetry, prose and essays, often engaging with themes, texts, and myths from the ancient Greek world. Alongside her career as a writer, she is a professor of classics and widely known for her lectures on ancient Greek literature.
Born in Toronto, Canada, in 1950, Carson published her doctoral thesis in Classics, 'Odi et Amo Ergo Sum' ('I Hate and I Love, Therefore I Am'), in 1981. She later reworked it into the essay 'Eros the Bittersweet', in which she developed many of the ideas about desire that would shape her later writing.
For many readers, 'Autobiography of Red: A Novel in Verse' (1998) serves as an introduction to Carson’s work. Inspired by Geryoneis – the fragmentary poem by the ancient Greek poet Stesichorus – it reimagines Geryon, the red-winged monster slain by Heracles, as a gay teenager with wings who falls in love with Heracles and is left heartbroken.
Throughout her entire authorship, Carson has continually experimented with literary form and explored the possibilities of writing. An example of this is 'Float' (2016), twenty-two chapbooks on different subjects that can be read in any order. More recently, 'Wrong Norma' from 2024, consists of a diverse combination of texts with a strongly performative aspect in which Carson crosses over into various artistic and academic fields.
Nicolas Cage says he is “probably not going to be working with” Amazon in the future after he refused to sign a waiver for AI on ‘SPIDER-NOIR’:
“Amazon is a very AI-friendly company, to the tune of $50 billion invested in OpenAI. I am not an AI-friendly actor, so it’s like, connect those dots! I’m not a member of their club.”

So embarrassing to be reading the first page of a novel in public. That's why I always also carry a pile of books I've finished so people know I'm serious
