Bill continued the development for this tools next to others. All tools like Forms or IMP/EXP were made to make the customer more productive. Both tools are completing the dev stack

@FranckPachot @FriedholdMatz @OracleDatabase I have to tell this Bill Friend who made IMP/EXP for Oracle Forms 40 years ago in C - his tools work for more than 40 years now on every OS and every DB version - great job!! Moving from Assembler to C was the best decision they could make!!

On monday we updated 5.000 clients on 40 different networks from #ORACLEFORMS 12.2.1.3 to 12.2.1.4 with an MSI using FSAL and JRE 1.8_261 in a few secs. Next to many enhancements we saw 15% less nettraffic on our largest modul. Forms is getting better and better! @OracleFormsPM

@krisrice @colognedata @oraclesqlcl The solution was simply the windows sqlplusw.exe that was shipped with windows 10g client admin. It was used to execute batch scripts. With the switch to codepage850 (Screen) and codepage1252 (Scripts) sqlci can handle German Umlaute (vowels) of Win10 created Scripts

@ChrisRSaxon Maybe a commit before the Alter is missing. DDL and DDL in an uncommited State should be avoided
