People dismissed this when I brought it up a month ago, but once again I need to point out that it was ridiculous UGA won the SEC title by 21 points and avenged it’s only loss and didn’t receive the 2 seed

Instead, the committee sent UGA to play a game 200 miles closer to its opponent’s campus and matched them up against a team they had already beaten when the game one loser is 17-7 in bowl game/playoff game rematches since 1944

Ohio State’s best win was by 7 against Texas in a game where they put up just over 200 total yards. Georgia beat Texas 35-10, and had a better strength of schedule and way more quality wins

There was zero reason they shouldn’t have grabbed the 2 seed

So far in their 9 out of conf Bowl and CFP games, the mighty SEC, the “best conference- it’s just a fact” per Kirk Herbstreit, was favored in 7 games but went 2-7 in those games. 

If you don’t see that stat and understand how well media manipulation works, you can’t be helped.
