Well, I guess this is happening. Today is my last day at @HoustonChron. I'm hanging them up. Way too many people to thank to fit here or in today's column. So grateful for all these years covering the Rockets, for my mentors, peers and especially readers. https://t.co/oTOKmBpQEf
PSA: You can still love basketball and not watch nearly as much as you used to. You don't have to parrot some BS about the game being ruined or unwatchable now. Life changes!
I might have permanent 1-3-1 defense brain, but a lot of this can be avoided if Coffey (#7) closes out in the passing lane and deters the extra pass/funnels penetration back to Zu.
Ball movement and flow has been there for the Phoenix Suns in this one. Getting the Clippers in rotation and keeping them in rotation. This is also where base defense is important, one breakdown, bad closeout, overhelp can get punished quick.
@Sam_Vecenie I get that sentiment, but in reality retiring late like this is the only real way to all but guarantee the successor is from your staff AND that your current players will all keep their spots and scholarships.
Really think OKC wins 65+ games.
I know the West is a gauntlet, but OKC is right in the sweet spot of being dominant on both ends and young enough to want to boat race everyone and not coast.
