A 10-member delegation of CAPP called on Mrs. Leena Nandan, Secretary, MoEF&CC, GoI on 22 Dec & sought her guidance on what role can be played by CAPP in mitigating plastic pollution. The meeting was successful as the Members of CAPP learnt a great deal from interaction with her.

@stats_feed Is it statistics or opinion? How does it qualify to be Statistics? What is your definition of flawed democracy? What if I call you a flawed statistical organisation?

[Foundation For Campaign Against Plastic Pollution @foundationfcapp]

@stats_feed How come so many figures are round figures, in multiples of 100?

It is heartening to note a paragraph on "Ending Plastic Pollution" in the G-20 New Delhi Leaders' Declaration adopted unanimously on 09-September-2023.

We have officially exceeded our natural resources for 2023 today.

Natures resources are finite. Human over consumption is causing unimaginable devastation and destruction.

It time to #ActNow #ForPeopleForPlanet #ForNature 🌏 #EarthOvershootDay #ClimateActionNow #ActForSDGs

Can anyone or any organisation explain what happens to the waste generated by recycling plastic? #CAPP

Plastic storm will not stop unless we mend our lifestyle, behaviour and attitude. Using any plastic commodity only once before discarding it is the greatest sin against biodiversity. It's not a sustainable practice. Plastic should be used to make only reusable products. #CAPP

@elonmusk Answer is simple: You are not a fish. You are a human. Eating fish is not part of the ecosystem of humans, but it is part of their ecosystem. If you want to behave like fish, it's your free will.

According to UNEP, every minute, the equivalent of 1 garbage truck of plastics is dumped into the ocean.

To protect the ocean & preserve all life that depends on it, we need to step up our efforts to prevent plastic pollution. #CAPP

Right attitude 👍 Keep it up

We need to shift our culture away from one that normalizes disposability, injustice, and pollution to one that celebrates and protects people & wildlife, and values sustainability and responsible stewardship of Earth. 💚 🌎️ #PlasticPollutes #BreakFreeFromPlastic
