@lukebaumgarten I've seen someone posit that educated white women is the only demographic the Democrats are reaching and there's a high percentage of EWW in Washington, which might be the third factor
@drclairetaylor I hear this all the time but every American kitchen I've been in in the last fifteen or twenty years has one. It was the first kitchen item I got after a microwave.
Reminder that not only are public libraries often required to be ports in the storm - whether pandemic, poverty, or Mother Earth toying with us - the library workers ourselves are often barely able to make ends meet or demand our own safety, rest or boundaries.

@spokanerising I largely don't disagree with your reasoning but I would agree with your take more if:
- people could go home when their work is done w/o impact to pay
- for hourly work, 30-35 hour weeks were the norm w/o pay impact
- public transit was easier
- transit to work was compensated
@Empty_jr At a fair/festival; attending a city council meeting; at the library; guild members at a training or assigned a project/committee; members of an apartment complex (neighbor disaster occurs & they come out to gather and see, or, someone gathers them to make a tenant complaint)
