@amanda_stellwag Hi Amanda,
The New York Times really has solidified itself as a globally recognized journalism source. As such, it definitely holds high standards for the stories they put out. I think your goal of one day working there is a great one and I hope that you achieve it.
@Lg740Guan Hi Lingzhi,
Being able to apply your ideas as a multi-media producer definitely requires a strong sense of leadership. As you said, these skills can be applied to a variety of fields, all of which welcome utilizing the skills you highlighted to these positions.
#LIDCFall2022 My dream job would be to work for Nintendo of America. The company values creativity and creates a very inclusive work environment. Their vision is to have a positive relationship with their employees and to always entertain their audience.

@alykor4 Hi Alyssa, Greta Thunberg definitely demonstrates the characteristics of an effective digital leader, as she uses her platform to voice her knowledge about the Climate Crisis, so we can take the necessary actions to prevent it.
@Ayesha4657 Hi Ayesha, I agree that Beto O'Rourke is good example of a strong digital leader who effectively rallies his supporters, both in person and through social media, so that he may become the next governor of Texas.
@IEinsweiler Hi Ines, I think that Obama was a great choice as he is not only considered the first president to really utilize the power of social media but he also continues to use that power in order to inform his followers of the ever changing world we are a part of.
#LIDCFall2022 Michelle Obama is a strong digital leader. In the example here, she utilizes the public commentary aspect of a digital leader to show our votes have the power to shape the country and how we should use that power in the upcoming midterms. https://t.co/u137i5w0Co

#DigiTechS22B I really enjoyed being a part of the Technology and Disruptive Change course. The biggest takeaway for me is how technology is able to shape every facet of our society and that it will always be there to disrupt what is known to create something entirely new.
#DigiTechS22B One takeaway I got from this course was the concept of “Self” when applied to the digital space. It not only serves as a way to make us look better but also serves as a journey of exploration we take to find our “True Self”.
@UPAMAROY10 I also agree that cryptocurrency and VR headsets will grow in usage as we move toward the future. However, while NFT's are currently popular, I don't see it maintaining that popularity forever due to the skepticism surrounding it.
@BriannaMedeiro8 I imagine that society will create an interchangeable relationship between virtual and in-person work. As the pandemic as shown, such a method is definitely possible and will most likely become a format many future workers take in the future.
@dhavnag_ I agree that VR will become more prominent as time goes on. As a technological innovation, it really falls into many aspects of our society, ranging from entertainment to corporate environments.
#DigiTechS22B As we move toward the future, I believe that our definition of online gaming will change. Ranging from ideas such as "More stylised graphics" to "Metaverse gaming", through the use of technology, this aspect of society is destined to improve.
@AndrewCarchio I really like the idea you chose for the EDTP project. Video games have certainly increased their impact on our social life over the past few years and observing that impact will definitely yield interesting results.
@TDC_RJ I like the technology you chose for the project. It's definitely interesting how streaming services have disrupted the idea of going to the theater. It raises the debate of why go there, when you can have the opportunity to watch the movie from home.
@rukaitlynrose Funnily enough I also choose Virtual Reality for my EDTP. However, I noticed how we both are tackling the technology's impact from two different angles. I'm interested to see how VR impacts the topics you chose.
#DigiTechS22B The technology I chose for my EDTP project was Virtual Technology. Specifically, I wanted to observe its potential to elevate our definition of communities, as well as, its potential use for businesses, as both could be accomplished through VR.
@pmazz1998 I believe that this shift demonstrates how the idea of technology as served as a disruptive change those in the 65 and older age group. This is because of how technology has completely altered how information can be given and received.
@OceloltXelhua Interesting point! While the pandemic, itself, isn't a disruptive technology, it has served as a catalyst for several of these technologies to be created.
