Thought I’d show you a stock this weekend that’s actually going up!

$CAT has exploded over the last few weeks, as hedge funds have rotated money out of MAG7 companies like Nvidia, Meta, Tesla, Amazon, Microsoft, they’ve rotated into consumer cyclical stocks like $CAT $DE $KO $XOM $LMT $TXN $COST

All of these cyclical stocks are up 30%+ over the last few months, a bigger move than many of these stocks have made in years/decades.

While I wouldn’t normally buy stocks like $WMT with a 40+ P/E ratio, a higher P/E ratio than most of the mag7 companies, you have to realise that the market isn’t driven by P/E ratio’s.

The market is driven by supply and demand, if demand skyrockets (because hedge funds are buying billions/trillions of $ in that stock) then the price will go up.

Just like if there’s an over-influx of supply, due to dilution/shorting/selling, then the stock will go down,

The market doesn’t care if the P/E ratio is 10, 25, 50 or 500, the price moves based on demand.
