@DrRLofthouse Completely true. Additionally, the programmes really are not fit for purpose for SEND schools or EYFS making it utterly performative.

@CGorczak @Team_English1 @TeamEnglishNC @k3english Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes intertwines a gritty fictional narrative with the story of Emmett Till. It is captivating, heart wrenching and vital. Lots of really raw and interesting context work and excellent example of narrative voices.

@SarahStacey85 Hi. Either Poem by Simon Armitage or Tich Miller by Wendy Cope. The former leads to really great 'poet's message' discussion and the latter is mature and harsh in it's message but a gentle way in to technique and 'zooming'. Hope this helps.
