How to use $ICP to pay for $USDC (Ethereum)
It takes 5 steps on @oisy , the ICP wallet app incubated by @dfinity , the developer lab behind ICP.
1️⃣ Convert $ICP into $ckUSDC, on the ICP network
2️⃣ Convert $ICP into $ckETH, on the ICP network, for the needed gas fee
3️⃣ Swap $ckUSDC into USDC of Ethereum, consuming some $ckETH as gas fee, in an ICP=>ETH transaction
4️⃣ Swap $ckETH into $ETH, for the needed gas fee
5️⃣ Send $USDC (ETH) to the intended EVM address, consuming some $ETH as gas fee, on the ETH mainnet.
The bummer is in Step 4, where Oisy requires a minimum withdrawal amount of 0.03 ckETH, which is roughly $67.41 in today's price.
Great UX, no KYC, etc. But this 0.03 ckETH requirement is enough to kill the desire to go down this path for most normal crypto users.
