Logging in should be simple, secure, and private.
Internet Identity just crossed 3M users. 🚀
In the first 45 days of 2026:
• +100K new users
• 60%+ on mobile
• 10 upgrades shipped
Still building, but it's nice to see accelerated adoption.

@mingleberrymedi@dfinity Couldn't agree more. But besides providing an industry-leading sign in solution for humans, II is becoming the no-code framework for building agentic applications. Who needs a website if users can render and operate your app on-demand, in seconds, using their favorite chatbot?
@Web3Dividends@oisy Users get the same privacy guarantees signing in with passkeys or OpenID (which was enable in II 2.0). II never discloses to anyone what app you are signing in to, regardless of the sign in method.
‼️ BREAKING: Apple's Hide My Email lets almost anyone uncover the real address behind a "hidden" alias, and Apple has left it unpatched for over a year.
It was reported to Apple in June 2025 by Tyler Murphy of EasyOptOuts. He says every Hide My Email address checked in limited volunteer tests was exploitable.
If you use Hide My Email to keep a real address off people-search sites or away from someone dangerous, treat that anonymity as unreliable.
Hi, @github. Opened a ticket 10 days ago. No reply. ID = 4482511. Trying to get my account back. Problem is, my email stopped working for 6 weeks, so the Forgot Password form rejects me because the email is no longer verified. Can prove ownership: have SSH key.
Interactive Brokers are now offering MCP connections
The world is shifting towards agentic flows over perpetually refining traditional websites.
One can’t build a perfect UI that works for everyone. Unless that UI is generated custom for each user.
Free tooling, agent-ready docs, and a community that supports you. IMHO, there's never been a better time to build on Internet Identity. Go ship something!
And you won't be building alone. Register on the DFINITY forum to get your questions answered for free. You can validate your app architecture, or simply find out what's possible (and what isn't) with II: https://t.co/fDiA8RWMOy
SEV Subnets are now live on the Internet Computer.
We sat down with Björn Tackmann to understand what they actually are and why they matter.
He starts with the problem: standard cloud infrastructure writes your data to memory in plaintext. Anyone with access to the hardware can read it. That's not a flaw in any specific product. It's how computers work.
SEV Subnets are the Internet Computer's answer to that. Full conversation below.
The ICP CLI now supports login with Internet Identity.
Get a delegation to use locally, carry your identity across machines, and use the same principal as your web login, so agents can act on your behalf.
The upcoming MPC for https://t.co/99B0tJJbhg enables getting serious work done on the go.
Ask @ChatGPTapp to come up with a trading strategy, then have @claudeai challenge it, refine it, and execute it. All while you watch your portfolio evolve in @oisy.

Here’s a high level summary of how we made it possible for #internetidentity to verify email authenticity without trusting any 3rd parties (apart from @theiana)
How email recovery is verified on the network:
A new SMTP gateway forwards an email to a canister, which checks the DKIM signature that email servers already attach. To get the public key it uses a root of trust: DNSSEC where supported, or DNS over HTTP via an HTTPS outcall.
The gateway is not trusted. The canister does the verification.
