First, turks never conquered china, you fucking turkey retard. on the contrary , The Tang conquered the Turks. Let's go through it, since your brain are full of shit.

630: Tang armies under Li Jing wipe out the Eastern Turkic Khaganate. Its khagan, Illig, is captured and taken to Chang'an in chains. The Tang records then have him made to dance at a banquet for the old emperor. That is how the "conqueror of China" ended up: as the entertainment.

657: General Su Dingfang crushes the Western Turks. Their khagan, Ashina Helu, also goes to Chang'an as a prisoner. The Western Khaganate is finished.

And the survivors? Chinese records say well over 100,000 surrendered Turks were resettled along the frontier in today's northern Shaanxi and the Ordos, and nearly 10,000 households ended up living in Chang'an itself. Turkic nobles like Ashina Zhong and Ashina She'er became Tang generals and were buried beside Emperor Taizong at Zhaoling. Not exactly a conquest, was it?

Yes, turks came back in 682. And how did that end? In 744 the Basmyl killed your khagan Ozmish and sent his head to Chang'an. In 745 the Uyghurs, who were not Tang soldiers but your own neighbours, killed the next khagan, Baimei, and sent his head to Chang'an too. Two khagans, two heads, delivered to the Tang emperor. Not even the Tang had to lift a sword.

And the Turks who stayed? The Shatuo served Tang, took Chinese names, ran Chinese administrations, and ended up ruling as Chinese dynasties. So the best a Turk ever managed in China was to become Chinese.

And since you love pan-Turkism so much, let's follow your logic all the way. You say the ancient Turks are your ancestors. Your own genetic studies say only 9–15% of your DNA comes from Central Asia. The Turks and the Turkic royal families who stayed in Tang China are the ones who kept the old bloodline in the old homeland. So by YOUR rules, you are the branch that left home with a diluted copy, and you should be calling them dad.

And if ancestry gives a people the right to land, then by YOUR rules, Turkey belongs on the Chinese map, as a runaway province of the Tang. I don't believe any of this, because borders and ancestry don't work like that. That is exactly the point. Your logic is a joke, and you are the one telling it.

The difference lies in this: when the ancient Central Asian Turks conquered your Anatolian region, you abandoned your own language and traditions, adopting theirs instead. But when the Yuan and Qing dynasties conquered China, their imperial elites actively embraced Han culture, learned Chinese characters, and adopted the Chinese language. This is what we call cultural influence and cultural legitimacy. We have never judged the legitimacy of a regime by race, but rather by whether it preserved and advanced China's civilization over thousands of years. From this perspective, the Yuan and Qing were undoubtedly legitimate dynasties of China.

[游羽 @Frank_SCU]

@ALG2Horse And that’s the ultimate reason why we are furious about the ridiculous and false Pan-Turkism that many idiot Turks holds.

[游羽 @Frank_SCU]

What I said before about terrorist in china, most of them were influenced by the extreme Islamism and the Pan-Turkism，especially East Turkestan Islamic Movement. This is why strict measures against extremism in Xinjiang were necessary from the outset. Now, after several years of governance, extremism has been effectively curbed. The former extremists have undergone training and rehabilitation, acquiring relevant labor skills that enable them to leave their previous environment and find jobs in economically developed cities on the Chinese mainland and then return with wealth.

extreme Islamism is a serious problem, you had to admitt it. I know there was an extremist Muslim in Germany who drove a car and ran over Germans who should have been enjoying happiness and joy on Christmas.

The only difference is that your country's extreme Islamism has not yet caused the same devastating impact as it did previously in China's Xinjiang. Moreover, due to so-called moral constraints, you have failed to take the necessary strict measures to curb extremist Islamism.

@cngz1283 Take a good look at this paper, you fucking imbecile, This paper makes a strong case that the vast majority of modern Turks' ancestry comes from Europe and the Middle East, with Central Asian ancestry accounting for only about 9%–15%.

I know, I had a Döner just a few days ago and I love it. I'm studying here in Berlin.

I also know that Turkish workers did a lot of the hard, dirty jobs in West Germany: construction, washing dishes, driving taxis, delivering food, and so on.

I only said that I've met quite a few Germans who really don't like Turks. And as far as I know, only around 9% of Turkish-origin Germans have a university degree, which is very low.

[游羽 @Frank_SCU]

I've read through the replies you got, and none of them is quite accurate or complete, so let me try to give a fuller picture.

On legality: many Chinese people assume using a VPN is illegal, but the legal picture is murkier. Article 6 of the 1996 Interim Provisions on international networking requires international connections to go through state-provided gateways. However, Article 3(3) of the Implementing Measures for those Provisions defines these "international gateways" as the physical channels used for international connections, not VPNs or proxy services. So some Chinese legal commentators argue that merely *using* a VPN is not explicitly prohibited (laying your own undersea cable would be). Selling unlicensed VPN services is clearly illegal, and some individuals have still been fined in practice, though whether such fines would survive an administrative review is debated.

Enforcement is also uneven. A huge number of people use VPNs, so policing them one by one is impossible. Ordinary users reading foreign media are generally left alone. Trouble mostly starts when someone posts politically sensitive content that spreads widely while physically in China.
