At Pensacola Beach, Florida, 8-year-old Jessie Arbogast is attacked by a bull shark in shallow water.

The shark bites off Jessie’s right arm but Jesse’s uncle, Vance Flosenzier, dives into the surf, grabs the shark by its tail, and drags it ashore.

Once there, Flosenzier wrestles Jessie’s arm from its jaws, then holds it steady until a park ranger can shoot it dead.

After a 12-hour operation, surgeons manage to re-attach Arbogast’s arm. He is in critical condition, but is expected to make a full recovery.

To say Canadians are oblivious would be an understatement.

If you listen closely in Canada you can hear footsteps in the distance, resonating in compliant unison. We are obediently marching into totalitarianism. Bill C-8 and C-9 have already received royal assent. This gets way worse from here.

Bill C-2 → Warrantless sharing of your digital information at the border.
Bill C-22 → Mandatory data retention, government backdoors in every app and service, and mass metadata collection on all Canadians.
Bill C-8 → Federal power to control, throttle, or shut down cyber systems, networks, and critical infrastructure.
Bill C-9 → Vague “hate” definitions weaponized to criminalize dissent.
Bill C-11 → Direct government regulation of what you can see and share online.
Bill C-63 → The “digital safety” trap that lets them police your thoughts, speech, and online life — with prison as the penalty.
Bill C-34 → The digital "Safety" Act, This is an age restriction on internet access, which alows them to force everyone to upload government issued ID for internet access.

This has NOTHING to do with safety and everything to do with control.

With NO democratic mandate to lead, and a majority government assembled through backroom deals far from public scrutiny, Mark Carney is changing our country into something unrecognizable.

We either resist this with the fury of a people pushed too far, or we lose everything.

Who gives a shit if Taylor and Kelsey got married? My wife is happy, I couldn't care less if they are married.

So Ottawa, which controls the media in Canada, now wants to charge people on Facebook and Twitter etc. It deems spreading false lies. Ah, maybe look within.

We were a country started with immigrants who for generations moved here, fit in, adapted, and grew. 6 or 7 generations or more built Canada. But when we added 1/10 to our population and gave them everything, we were not the same. 1/10 of the boomers are soon gone, and once Canada gets another 3.5 million, we are slowly being replaced. Math is fun, but sadly liberal voters can't see that.

When govs have to build projects and bail out friends, we are not free anymore. We slipped into socialism.

When after 11 years, our standard of living continues to drop. Why do we Blame others for our failure? Maybe it's us.

Good morning. Yesterday was the first time in my life I actually did nothing on Canada Day. It was just another day. I couldn’t care at all anymore. After 11 years of this shit show, I have finally given up on my home country.

We needed a united country, but what we have is a divided country from one end to the other. The politicians talk a good talk, but this whole debacle is on them.

I’m a Saskatchewanian now and don’t really care what happens in other parts of the country.

We have been fed a lie for way too long, and it’s time to move on.

The rain might end and we’ll actually get a string of 4 or 5 nice days.

This is one of the best takedowns of Mark Carney I’ve seen.

He’s not a businessman. He’s never run a company. He’s never met a payroll. He’s a lifelong bureaucrat who somehow convinced people he’s some kind of economic genius.

The guy actually went on TV in Atlantic Canada and downplayed steel tariffs because “we don’t use that much steel.” That’s not just tone-deaf — that’s fundamental ignorance of how manufacturing, auto, and resource sectors actually work in this country.

Carney keeps all the worst Trudeau-era policies in place — emissions caps, anti-oil and gas rules, the whole net-zero scam — but now he can personally override them whenever he wants. If those policies were good, why does he need an override button? He’s admitting they’re damaging Canada but refuses to scrap them.

He’s concentrating more power in the PMO than ever, acting like the King of Canada while surrounding himself with the same failed Trudeau retreads. His own caucus is still pushing the climate nonsense that’s been proven to waste billions and make life more expensive for regular people.

Meanwhile, oil and gas — our single biggest export earner — is still being deliberately held back. Provincial trade barriers are still choking the economy. And the same people who created this mess are still in charge, still pocketing money from the climate grift while average Canadians get squeezed.

This government was a failure under Trudeau. Under Carney it’s just a more polished version of the same failure.

Less government. Lower taxes. Cut the red tape. Develop our resources. Stop robbing the middle class to enrich insiders.

That’s the only reset that actually works.

Can we act like adults, acknowledge this serious problem, and address it accordingly? Or will we continue with the finger-pointing, political theatre, and ideological nonsense?
