This is a living plant. There are many different things such as fertilizer, peat moss in the plants soil too help keep the plant growing which keeps it nutritious @franklinlorax#apesland
Different plant species require different types of soil, so growing all plants in the same bagged soil wouldn’t be successful. In class, we started with a base soil then had to add ingredients to adjust things like pH and water retention for our radishes. @franklinlorax#apesland
This is an herb from sendiks. Herbs require rich moist soil that’s well drained. The PH levels have to be between 6 and 7 for the best growing results @franklinlorax#apesland
By carpooling to and from games during our tournament we limit the amount of gas emissions we use! This allows us to make our ecological footprint smaller! @franklinlorax#apespop
This is Logan! He is one of the 8 billion people on the earth! Since he is 14 his mother makes him ride his bike everywhere so he produces less carbon emissions #apespop@franklinlorax
My dog Charlie is a K-strategist species because dogs tend to only have a few offspring, receive care from their mothers, and have longer lifespans. @franklinlorax#apesecology
This is cooper. He is a k-selected species because he had a high level of care from his mother as a puppy and he would only have a few offspring. @franklinlorax#apesecology
Both the water treatment plant and the buckthorn cutting taught me about the clean water that needs to be filtered in order to keep us and the environment healthy. @franklinlorax#apeswater
By keeping a bio filter on "my" fish tank, I help improve my fish's habitat by maintaining the water quality. The waste and build up in the tank is broken down by bacteria into dissolved oxygen for the fish to breathe and have a clean environment. @franklinlorax#apeswater
The water inside this water bottle I drink comes from Lake Michigan but is filtered to remove feces and other runoff items leading into lake Michigan @franklinlorax#apesintro
