@Tonychristain@EGakwandhi20548@Joe__Bassey Never denied that. Lol ๐. Do you think we love them. I'm sure your country has zero corruption with clean water all around, perfect roads and the best healthcare in the world. Be for real. We the African people are suffering together. You're just suffering less at the moment.
@PandoraUchihaa@oria_dolph@EGakwandhi20548@Joe__Bassey As a Nigerian I should love the killing of twins, I should love female circumcision, I should love human sacrifice? Do you see how your logic is flawed because this is the spiritually that was known to "my people" and THEY ARE AFRICAN TOO
@oldtimewatcher@EGakwandhi20548@Joe__Bassey The claim I made is based on an assumption of the "spiritually" she's referring as observed by her nationality. If you say Africa should return to "spiritually", then which one? Because West Africa would go back to this and every other debased practice in Africa would continue
@briankeepsworth@briankeepsworth This is a thanksgiving celebration done at the end of mass in Catholic Churches in Africa. This seems to be Nigeria as Iโm also in. Itโs done after the reception of the Eucharist just before we are given the final blessings.
The Mission Hospital That Keeps Hope Alive
I left Enugu early this morning for Ogoja/Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.
My first stop was the Catholic Maternity Hospital, Moniaya, Ogoja.
This decades-old facility remains virtually the only maternity hospital serving the entire Ogoja area.
Despite its age and the enormous responsibility it bears, it continues to provide care for thousands of women and newborns with limited resources.
Nigeria still ranks among the countries with the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world, despite having overtaken countries such as China and India, whose populations are several times larger than ours. This is not just a statistic; it represents mothers, babies, and families whose lives are forever changed by preventable tragedies.
The hospital also operates a Tuberculosis and Leprosy Centre, providing vital healthcare services that are becoming increasingly rare.
To support their commendable work, I made a token donation of โฆ10 million and assured them of my continued partnership.
I urge governments at all levels, the private sector, and well-meaning Nigerians to support institutions like this, run by voluntary and faith-based organisations. Investing in healthcare and education is investing in our future. -PO
This is not an "illiterates" thing.
As these ones are collecting Semo and Indomie, judges are getting multimillion Naira houses, others are getting luxury cars, professors are getting millions and billions of Naira...
Everybody is getting what they're sharing for their level.
So you see, the problem is deeper and more pervasive than mere illiteracy.
Dear Alex Onyia @winexviv,
Concerned Nigerians have read your recent tweet where you said the Ministry of Education is demanding total handover of the Olympiads portfolio so they can sponsor them with government funds.
Please donโt fall for the illusion that the federal government is selling you.
They didnโt care about these Olympiads for 7 years. Now that youโve single-handedly redefined education and put the finest brains among our teens on the global map, they suddenly want to โsponsorโ everything.
Donโt let them politicize your hard work, which they will definitely do if you emotionally allow them.
They will introduce tribalism, disqualify the best students, and push incompetent ones forward just as theyโve always done.
Look at our athletes under government sponsorship. How many times have they missed international appearances?
This is classic Tinubu and APC style.
Please protect what youโve built.
Our children deserve merit, not politics.
