Today, MSF teams in Jahun celebrated #WorldMidwivesDay

At MSF, we celebrate every midwife who is committed to providing compassionate care and support to mothers when it matters most.

At the General Hospital in Jahun, MSF supports maternity, newborn & obsteric fistula units.

Neglected tropical diseases are estimated to affect over 1 billion people. However, there's limited attention & funding into vaccine research & development for these diseases.

Safe & effective vaccines would be impactful in reducing the burden.

MSF has launched integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) activities in Muna community, Maiduguri, supporting early care for malaria, pneumonia & acute watery diarrhoea (AWD) in children under 5.

Sexual and Reproductive Health services were also introduced.

Last night, our hospital in Lankien, South Sudan, was hit in an airstrike by the government of South Sudan forces. One of our colleagues suffered minor injuries, and the hospital’s warehouse was destroyed.
