So, M-Tiba got hacked and according to the hackers, Kazu, the data leak contains 17,158,105 files and is 2.15TB in size.
They have provided a sample of ~2GB that contains patients diagnosis data by the health providers, and PII leak for Kenyans who use that.

IBM reported that 1 in 4 public Wi-Fi hotspots is unsecured. In Nairobi, unsecured café hotspots are a
growing target for data interception.
Risks include “man in the middle” attacks, credential theft, and malware injection.
Best practices:
● Use VPN for sensitive transactions.
● Avoid banking/shopping on public hotspots.
● Default to mobile data when possible.
Remember: convenience shouldn��t come at the cost of your privacy.

So there is this scam going on of guys opening none existent businesses and then tricking people to send them money. These guys advertise property that does not exist. I am a victim of one - a guy selling non-existent furniture, and impersonating an actual business.

The number of con agents on this platform is alarming. If you're going to build such a platform, have some mechamisms to combat fake listing!

I called the real business, and they confirmed that the guys on TikTok are scammers. Sadly, I have not been able to get help from @Safaricom_Care and @SafaricomPLC and my DMs are going unanswered.
