I like atomic design, I just don’t think it should be taken too literally. Names like elements or components feel more natural within a project. Still the concept is followed. @disco_lu has a great 🧵about this 👇🚀 #webdev#Webdesign
I think it might be time to reconsider whether atomic design helps or hinders the creation of designs and systems
It’s been the de facto rule for looking at interfaces for a long time, but I find that sometimes it can actually create more confusion 💫
@filrakowski Usually experienced people share a lot internally because part of their responsibilities is to help others with unique projects besides their own work. After a full day of helping/sharing/problem-solving and development, energy and time is gone. Just saying :)
"The `margin-trim` property allows the container to trim the margins of its children where they adjoin the container's edges."

No more targeting first/last children to remove their margins.
I feel spoiled! ☺️

@brad_frost I like @storyblok it is super easy to use and set up the schema right in their dashboard. Which allows me to focus on front end development.
The Chrome team writes about the new viewport units. And how lvh, svh, dvh interact with the viewport on mobile browsers — *including Chrome*.

@filrakowski Yes, it should work the other way around too. It makes development much easier and faster when designs are based on components and reusability. Also, browsers have so many cool tools like snap scroll, modals, grid (grid container*) it would be great designers know about them

@jimniels Infinite scroll. Even if it is without button, pagination can be added to the url on scroll so you can share the link to the right page and have an infinite scroll working. If you want to browser products filters will give a better UX. IMO
