An open letter to @Seminoles

I believe Florida State should be the premier athletic department in college sports.

Not just in football.

In EVERYTHING.

The standard should be championships. The expectation should be excellence.

And never accept mediocrity in any sport.

Florida State doesn't need to chase the future of college athletics.

We would define it.

Recruit relentlessly.

Fundraise aggressively.

Embrace innovation.

Build the best coaches and support staffs in America.

Create an NIL and business ecosystem athletes want to be part of.

But championships are only part of the mission. I want Florida State to become the best place in America to BE a college athlete. For ALL blooded Americans, thank you Bret Musburger. We'll be developing champions during competition and creating opportunities for them long after.

Football should compete for national championships.

So should baseball.

So should softball.

So should soccer, basketball, track, golf and every program wearing Garnet & Gold.

Florida State has the brand, history, alumni, athletes and fan base to set the standard for what a modern athletic department can be.
