Hi @AnasSarwar as you have seen 1st hand the food support provision @FoodTrainScot provides is crucial. Due to no continued funding from Glasgow CC our Glasgow branch will be closing in weeks. This best practice should be rolling out across Scotland not closing!

Our older members agree Anna, they tell us our services help them eat better, reduce their risk of falls, feel less lonely, our #Volunteers are like family. We have members in every corner of Glasgow, they are distressed and fearful today @GlasgowCC

There are hundreds of older people distressed at this news, with no alternative support in place, worrying about how they will get food if we are forced to close in March, people who are housebound, people with dementia, people with no one else local to help them

Care at home visits predominantly happen at meal times ie. breakfast, lunch and tea time, food within social care cannot go unmentioned in our new #NationalCareService, nutrition is fundamental to our wellbeing #FoodIsCare
