@GergelyOrosz Outsourcing to AI removes you from the equation, and the whole point of doing something is to do it to a level that satisfies your expectations and what you think is important. Asking for summaries or research is fine, but keep your judgment at the core.
@dhh@kepano I've always changed depending on the time of day/light in the room, it's about which colour combination increases contrast, and readability. I do this at a system-wide level, with themes adjusting accordingly.
@chfsrh@levelsio There is nothing controversial about this. Companies with a framework and their platform are trying to get you to use it, and they constantly tell you how much nicer it is if you use their infrastructure. I wish more companies would use the underlying tools and infra
@wesbos A helper function customised to your needs is a good choice. The goal is to reduce the mental load and ensure a predictable environment, and your code does the job👍
@vl_klmn@dhh For small teams with no software engineers, a SaaS tool is a great choice, but as your company starts to grow, you will reach an inflexion point where it will cost more than running your own, with features offered that you don’t use that only bring the price up.
@wesbos@brianleroux I'm all up for that. You can achieve so much without adding unnecessary complexity, but the industry seems to have chosen a race towards higher complexity just because it can be done, and it gives so many more problems to solve.
@allenholub@Yisrael_Dov@unclebobmartin@lemiorhan If it grows of course fix it before adding anything new, i took the Swiss Army knife example of something that does everything it needs without ever being updated. I’m all for clean and tidy, but a compromise is ok.
@jensimmons Keep the browser up to date in terms of new html, css Andes features. Release more often. Improve dev tools, they are good but still not as good as the others.
@dan_abramov I use this one: https://t.co/qIIuk2Z73t Extremely simple, but good enough to switch light/dark according to time of day and room brightness.
