It reminds me of "Sprezzatura", the art of making something difficult look effortless. It’s about appearing naturally skilled and graceful, without showing the effort behind it.
The more you force it, the worse it looks. It's just better, and easier to be authentic.
I read somewhere that you’re supposed to collect things you find beautiful and then place them around your home, instead of buying decore after moving in.
The former is the authentic way of giving character to a home.
