@EDUwithEmily In Germany, they rotate holiday periods by state, I think to keep vacation destinations/road corridors/transit systems from being overwhelmed AND prevent the “everyone’s on break” price hike.

Or not realizing that the nursing/engineering/etc program they want to transfer to has a fixed course sequence that takes x years.

@clhubes Every time I am in Germany, I marvel at the outdoor cafes with playgrounds and wonder why we can’t have nice things. It is possible to make spaces that are child and adult friendly.

@MichaelDeSousa5 @JayWamsted When I started to consider teaching, my mom asked me this question. I said students; she said that, if my answer were different, she would have said not to teach, as my kids would never love my subject as much as I did, and it would make me frustrated and miserable. Sage advice.

@heymrsbond Have you tried feeding a text to ChatGPT and asking it to adjust the level? Works well for language classes, haven’t tried for English.
