π Fraxβs crosschain strategies
The Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard!
βββββββββββββββββ
@fraxfinanceβs crosschain strategy is built around the Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard.
This particular standard, engineered from @LayerZero_Core allows assets like $frxUSD and $sfrxUSD to be minted and redeemed natively across multiple blockchains.
Without creating wrapped versions or isolated liquidity on each chain, OFT maintains a consistent asset model that can operate across multiple networks.
βββββββββββββββββ
When assets move between chains, supply is reduced on the source chain and created on the destination chain, ensuring supply remains consistent at all times.
As well, Fraxtal plays a central role in this structure by acting as the execution environment where Frax assets are issued and coordinated.
βββββββββββββββββ
Through the OFT standard, Frax assets are available across more than 20 blockchains.
This includes both EVM and non-EVM chains, all connected through the same mint-and-redeem logic.
frxUSD, sfrxUSD, and several other Frax assets, like $frxETH, $sfrxETH, $FPI, $WFRAX, are supported by this fundamental omnichain design.
βββββββββββββββββ
This structure forms the foundation of Fraxβs crosschain strategy and provides a defining architectural principle of the protocol.

π $sfrxUSD the future of saving accounts!
But how does sfrxUSD earns its inbuilt yield?
ββββββββββββββββ
sfrxUSD is the yield-bearing, staked version of $frxUSD, @Fraxβs Genius compliant stablecoin.
While frxUSD is designed to function as a reliable digital dollar for payments and settlement, sfrxUSD is built for users who want their digital dollars to remain productive over time.
By staking frxUSD, users receive sfrxUSD, a token that automatically captures and compounds yield within the token itself, without requiring active strategy management or manual reallocation.
βββββββββββββββ
Both frxUSD and sfrxUSD are fully natively mint- and redeemable across 20+ blockchains through their integration with @LayerZero_Core.
Within this setup, capital is allocated across three main yield sources, including Carry Trade strategies, AMO strategies, and strategies that generate yield from tokenized US Treasury Bills.
βββββββββββββββ
To understand how this works in practice, it helps to look at each strategy individually:
In Carry Trade strategies, sfrxUSD capital is deployed to take advantage of interest rate differences across lending markets.
Capital is sourced where borrowing rates are relatively low and deployed into higher-yielding lending environments, with the resulting rate spread generating returns that flow back into sfrxUSD as inbuilt yield.
AMO strategies focus on actively deploying sfrxUSD capital across DeFi protocols, such as lending markets or liquidity pools, in a controlled manner. These deployments are managed by the protocol and continuously refined over time, with all generated returns routed back into the token.
T-Bill yield adds a real-world component by allocating a portion of the backing capital to tokenized US Treasury Bills. These short-term government instruments generate interest and help anchor sfrxUSD returns beyond purely crypto-native yield sources.
βββββββββββββββ
All returns from these strategies are aggregated and reflected directly in sfrxUSD through a steadily increasing token value.
For users, this means holding a single asset that combines DeFi-native yield, real-world interest, and cross-chain execution into one simple savings token!

What is $sfrxUSD?
A breakdown of @Fraxβs yield-bearing digital dollar!
Today we are taking a closer look at sfrxUSD, the yield-bearing version of $frxUSD, designed for users who want their digital dollars to remain productive while staying fully usable across onchain finance.
Built on frxUSD
sfrxUSD represents the staked version of frxUSD, meaning that instead of holding a payment stablecoin, users hold a token that continuously captures and compounds the yield generated by the underlying reserves, without requiring manual staking.
frxUSD is structured to align with the GENIUS Act framework.
Institutional-grade backing
frxUSD is backed by real-world assets, such as tokenized T-Bills and other cash equivalents, that are managed through established institutional partners such as @BlackRock, @WisdomTreeFunds, @Securitize, @SuperstateInc, and more, providing a secure and transparent backing structure which sfrxUSD builds upon.
In-built yield
sfrxUSD earns yield by using staked frxUSD in carry trades, DeFi operations, and reserve interest, and this yield shows up as a rising value of sfrxUSD over time.
Cross-chain native
sfrxUSD is natively available across multiple blockchains through integration with @LayerZero_Core, enabling users to hold and deploy yield-bearing dollars wherever onchain activity takes place.
DeFi integration
sfrxUSD remains fully composable across DeFi, allowing it to be used in lending markets, liquidity pools, and other onchain strategies while continuing to accumulate yield in the background.
Key takeaway
frxUSD is designed to act as a reliable digital dollar for payments, while sfrxUSD is designed to serve as a productive digital dollar for onchain savings, reflecting a broader shift toward stablecoins that can fill even more roles than simply representing compliant payments.
As stablecoins continue to evolve alongside onchain finance, sfrxUSD, the yield-bearing money that is natively integrated into DeFi, will be reviewed and compared to other yield-bearing stablecoins, this one will come soon, via our newsletter @TheDailyFrax.

π Frax Stablecoin Operating System
What does it stand for?
The @Frax Stablecoin OS is designed as a fully integrated on-chain system for digital money.
Instead of isolated products, it combines banking, money, settlement, and governance into a single, clear architecture.
Each layer has a clearly defined role.
Together, they form a stable and scalable foundation for modern on-chain finance.
βΈ»
Banking Layer
This layer is represented by FraxNet.
It connects on-chain money with the real world by enabling compliant minting, redemption, and native yield distribution.
Through FraxNet, users can access institutional-grade financial rails that align with modern regulatory frameworks, while remaining fully on-chain.
βΈ»
Money Layer
This layer defines what users actually hold and transact with: $frxUSD.
frxUSD functions as a digital dollar that can be transferred across chains and earns its underlying yield through its real-world backed structure.
It is also designed to allign fully with the Genius Act framework, signed in July 2025 in the US.
βΈ»
Settlement Layer
The settlement layer is provided by Fraxtal, Fraxβs native chain.
It handles execution and settlement, optimized specifically for stablecoin-based activity.
Transfers and smart contracts are processed efficiently and at scale, providing predictable performance and low-cost execution.
βΈ»
Governance Layer
Governance in the Frax ecosystem is based on $Frax, the gas token of the ecosystem.
By wrapping Frax into $WFrax and locking it as $veFrax, users claim governance power that is directly tied to both the amount locked and the chosen lock duration, up to four years.
veFRAX enables long-term participants to vote on upgrades, parameters, and the strategic direction of the Frax ecosystem, including the Stablecoin Operating System itself, while also earning a share of protocol revenue.
This governance model aligns long-term incentives and ensures the system remains adaptable and resilient over time.
βΈ»
Frax combines banking, money, execution, and governance into one unified on-chain system.
Not as separate tools, but as a structured monetary framework designed for durability, compliance, and real economic use.

What is FraxNet?
FraxNet is @Fraxβs Genius compliant stablecoin network, built around $FrxUSD, with everything live on Fraxtal.
It serves as the banking layer that enables minting, redeeming, and transferring real digital dollars on-chain.
FraxNet brings accounts, easy access, and built-in yield into one simple interface.
Users interact through the system by connecting a wallet, with registration and KYC or KYB required to access yield-related features.
Just by holding FrxUSD on FraxNet, users are able to earn that built-in yield.
This yield is backed by tokenized funds from regulated custodians such as @BlackRock, @WisdomTreeFunds, and @SuperstateInc.
By anchoring stablecoins to real assets and real cash flows, FraxNet positions Frax early as a stablecoin issuer with its own on-chain banking layer.

What is Genius Compliance?
You have probably seen the term βGenius Complianceβ mentioned more often lately in the context of stablecoins.
But what does it actually mean?
Genius Compliance describes a US framework where stablecoins follow financial rules automatically and consistently, creating a system that is secure, transparent, and easy to understand.
Compliance is enforced through real reserves, regulated custodians, and clearly defined redemption paths that connect on-chain dollars with the existing financial system.
This structure matters because stablecoins are no longer just a crypto-native instrument, but are increasingly used for payments, settlement, and financial coordination, in general for real world adoption.
$FrxUSD, built by @Frax, was designed with this framework in mind, aligning its structure with the Genius Act through treasury-backed reserves, licensed custodians, and verifiable transparency.
As financial infrastructure continues to move on-chain, Genius Compliance provides a foundation where digital dollars, like FrxUSD, can operate with clarity, trust, and long-term reliability.
What is $FrxUSD?
A breakdown of @Fraxβs Genius compliant digital dollar!
Today we are looking at FrxUSD.

This setup is designed to keep FrxUSD stable and fully backed with clear transparency at all times.
Cross chain technology
FrxUSD is available on more than 20+ blockchains.
This is made possible through its integration with @LayerZero_Core, which allows users to mint and redeem FrxUSD smoothly across different networks.
Built in yield
The reserves backing FrxUSD earn yield because they include tokenized T Bills.
Through FraxNet, this value can be shared with FrxUSD holders.
This allows your capital to stay productive simply by holding FrxUSD.
Independently verified
FrxUSD is live and independently monitored by @chaoslabs.
They provide ongoing oversight of the system, the reserves, and overall risk parameters.
DeFi integration
FrxUSD is fully usable across DeFi.
It can be used for providing liquidity, lending, and borrowing on many chains and protocols.
Key takeaway
FrxUSD is a stablecoin built to act as a reliable digital dollar for payments and onchain finance.

A better dollar is emerging!
Itβs important to understand the unique and strategic role of the stablecoin issued by @fraxfinance.
Why?
Because we are in an era where countless digital dollars are being created and brought on chain, all hoping to gain adoption.
So what makes $FrxUSD truly different, and why does it stand out?
The infographic below explains.
π TL;DR:
Fraxtal rewards users and builders with FXTL points, redeemable for FRAX, so activity on the network can generate value instead of only costing fees.
It also includes the Frax Burn Engine, which permanently burns a portion of FRAX used onchain, making the token slightly deflationary over time.
Overall, Fraxtal is a scalable, modular, and future proof blockchain. Itβs more than just a rollup, itβs a flexible platform built for new layers, tools, and applications.
