@DerrickHamre Amen. Many pastors hardly realize that they are neglecting the basic disciplines that enable them to be effective leaders. We cannot reproduce character or lifestyles we aren’t living. We multiply who we are and what we do far more than what we say. I thank God for your example.
I urge you a nearer communion with Christ, and a growing communion. There are curtains to be opened in Christ that we have never seen before... Therefore dig deep, and sweat, and labor. Take pains for Him, and set aside as much time as you can in each day for Him.- S. Rutherford
@clarkmoran We’re just home. You aren’t here. Enough already. I’m sure this is really wearying for you and Kim. “He give the more grace...”. Will you have to do another switch? Really believed you’d beat us home. Praying everyday. He’s got the whole world in his hands.
@AWPorterfield Madeleine L’Engle said, “Deepest communion with God is beyond words, on the other side of silence.” Solitude is a point of deep communion where words aren’t required in light of God’s glorious nearness.
