@EvanKirstel When we visited, our guide said the wall and awning weren't yellow originally; the yellow was Van Gogh's interpretation of the cafe's lights. But the owner painted the wall and replaced the awning to match the artwork. Feel free to fact-check me on this, though -- it's hearsay.
This is a lie! Actually @nationalguard has an amazing operation out of Asheville….thousands of them! More helicopters I’ve ever seen in an operation….tones of goods dropped….I see civilian planes landing, civilian helicopters delivering. As @WCKitchen helicopter no issues!
@Srirachachau Agreed. And every time I watch it, I smile because Tim Burton probably spent more on the opening title sequence than Ed Wood spent on all of his movies put together.
Re: the hateful comments about Gus Walz, son of @Tim_Walz, by self-professed Christians. NB: 90% of the Christian life is: Don't be mean. Also, do you think Jesus would mock someone with any kind of disability? Remember your Gospels: these are precisely the people Jesus seeks out
@Caltrain The new trains are so wonderful. I actually chose a local (rather than waiting a couple minutes for a bullet) so I could ride one from SF to RWC. Please keep the cars clean and nice, if you can. (Not easy, esp when rains arrive.) You'll win more riders.
@chessclubgringo@egavactip Also Timothy Egan's 2023 book, "A Fever in the Heartland," specifically looks at the KKK's operations in Indiana and the role of DC Stephenson in its growth there. (And his fall, when he was convicted of murder.)
@datastoragejobs I see a taxonomy/organizing structure, not a tool to solve arguments. You could use this to say "we both are willing to discuss (issue x)" but if two sides are in different circles about (issue x) this infographic doesn't help you toward a resolution.
@RonFilipkowski I also note the guy filming the encounter, waiting for the reporter to do something that will enrage the mob and earn the filmer 30 seconds in the RW media spotlight.
