The burden of loss and grief our beautiful nation and its people carry is unfathomable.
And unconscionable, as this was preventable. This is avoidable mortality and morbidity. I carry these people in my thoughts and in my heart. Gov must do better than this from here on in. 💔
Our loved ones were not bodies to be piled up in hospitals.
They were those that meant the most to us in the world.
Help us show this to @BorisJohnson by putting a picture of your lost loved one and telling us who they were below

Today: Woman jailed for 28 months for taking abortion pill after legal time limit.
Last week: Man jailed for 36 months for raping 12 year old girl.
Last month: Man jailed for 18 months for attacking and strangling his wife.
Make it make sense.
Two days ago a man walked free after being convicted of assault for beating his pregnant girlfriend, then beating her again whilst she held the newborn baby. He was given a 23 month suspended sentence. Yet a woman takes legally prescribed abortion pills … https://t.co/EFu4Qdm4OQ
We will not be silent so the toxic person(s) can be comfortable, nor will we "hide" what happened or "keep quiet" in order to keep the enablers, flying monkeys and victim shamers happy.
Lords voted 154-68 to let Tory govt change the Public Order Act through the back door, Unprecedented.
Our freedoms to protest gone; police have carte blanche, no accountability.
Labour peers told to abstain on Jenny Jones' motion. I voted for it.
We have a police state.
One of the reasons why trauma survivors can be vulnerable to addiction is that when we're intoxicated or immersed in a behavior of addiction, it's often one of the very few times when we forget to judge the living sh*t out of ourselves.
Moments of "peace" in our head are rare.
When we drafted the coercive control law, the maximum sentence was 10 years. The Home Office lawyers reduced it to 5. Angel’s case highlights it should be AT LEAST 10 years for men like vile Chay Bowskill - even that’s not long enough https://t.co/CMC3OGNAjN
Women born in 1950’s had their state pension age increased without being told. Many unknowingly gave up work at 60 only to have no income, struggle to pay bills and some even lost their homes. They deserve fair and fast compensation for this injustice #Waspi
🧵 Chay Bowskill coercively controlled & physically abused Angel Lynn. She was trying to end the relationship.
He kidnapped Angel in broad daylight. His mate Rocco Sansome helped him. He just ran up to her and picked her up. He threw Angel into the back of a van.
@RishiSunak You going to replace the 1000s of GPs who’ve been lost as you’ve smashed primary care up? Of course not, gimmicky phone systems and some nonsense about care pathway navigators when you could have spent the money on employing actual doctors!

Any statement that the pandemic is over is a political one — with 1,000 weekly deaths reported by CDC in the US alone. Those who want to protect themselves from infection, long covid, and its many consequences, will continue to take precautions.

There is no silver bullet solution to mitigating the harm caused by COVID. We need masks, clean air, vaccines, treatments and more. None of these things are perfect, and none alone are sufficient to prevent all the harm being caused. We need them all. Keep speaking up for layers!
Fit Testing to ensure a good seal on your mask [Part 2]
This thread describes my quantitative fit testing experience with some real-world results of various types of #masks including #NIOSH#N95 and ear loop and how 1 mask leaked 70x more than the other on my face. 🧵1/
This article does a nice job of explaining why evidence-based medicine is not the gold standard for public health research.
Evidence-based medicine was established to reduce reliance on doctor’s “gut-feelings”.
If we want science, we need epidemiology.
