The American Federation of Teachers blew $1.4 MILLION in hard-earned member dues to research, ghostwrite, fact-check, photograph, legally review, and promote her political manifesto "Why Fascists Fear Teachers".

The receipts are ugly:

• $400k to left-wing activist Sally Kohn as a “day-to-day thought partner”

• Nearly $1 million to a New York law firm (which the AFT called “pro bono”)

• $64k to a literary agency + more for fact-checking and her author photo

As @RyanWalters_ points out, medical schools and universities cut DEI offices and programs, yet the same staff keep pushing the same divisive ideology under fresh names, just as CRT became DEI and then SEL.

🧵For the second year in a row, the Clark County Education Association in Nevada has refused membership cancellation requests from the teachers it claims to represent.

Despite certified filings from teachers, the union refused to accept the mailings, even when we hired a professional process server to deliver the teachers’ requests directly.

Here’s the story:

Last year, the Freedom Foundation conducted outreach to Clark County educators and compiled opt-out forms to forward to CCEA on behalf of the teachers who requested it.

CCEA recognized what they were and refused the mail.

CCEA rejected the professional process server we hired, too.

Now, rinse and repeat for 2026.

Weingarten has always been in opposition to the president and top Republicans, and this speech was no different from any other wild rant that she is known for. During her remarks, Weingarten:

🔴 Called President Trump an authoritarian and allies of him “oligarchs.”

🔴 Compared the current state of the Trump administration to "a convulsion nearing death.”

🔴 Said that she is so upset by the moves of the administration that all she wants to do is "stay home and — for those of us who drink — have a glass of wine — or for me, some vodka."
