Also, same book talking about the kind of TV that you is on at 3 am. In the Sowjet Union in 1963. Now I could be wrong but I bet they didn’t have TV 24/7 in the 60s.

So, I‘m really, really enjoying this book I‘m reading but, um, a) I‘m pretty sure there were no fridge magnets in 1963 in the Sowjet Union, and b) there definitely were no TV remotes.

@NJSimmondsbooks At one point and then still had to pay for said mortgage for many years.
When my husband and I took a mortgage for our annex we were very careful. I did lock the interest at 1.9% a couple years ago. Looks like we‘ll be mortgage-free at the end of next month. Yeah! 2/2

@NJSimmondsbooks My parents took a mortgage for 9% interest with basically no capital on a house they were building that went on to be twice as expensive as planned in the late 70s. Which meant we went from pretty wealthy to basically broke overnight. They did have to sell the house 1/2

Wow, I certainly will have a stellar executive function day ahead. I can tell because I just sat there for minutes unable to decide whether to weave the end in to the right or the left…
I eventually decided but it took a while. This bodes well.

@NJSimmondsbooks My mother has something similar and yes, I get regularly bonked in the head by these. She also has automatic drawers underneath that open randomly because you stood a bit too close and a hood that is the perfect height to knock me in the head. Sigh!
